Kibela: A Feast in Welcoming Ethiopian Lent Offering Season

It’s a cherished ritual, practiced every year during the last weekend, before Tsome Kudade (lent offering) starts, by Ethiopian Orthodox religion devotees.

It’s a feast shared with family, friends and loved ones, in savoring of dishes, which devotees abstained from, for the coming 55 days, until April 28, 2019 – Fasika (Ethiopian Easter).
